Betech invests in 1 Megawatt battery, marking a milestone in energy self-sufficiency
Betech Mass Turning has taken a new step in the transition towards fully sustainable and circular production: the purchase of an industrial battery with a capacity of 1 MWh. This battery enables large-scale storage of solar energy generated during the day, which can be used at night to power 24/7 unmanned production.
European manufacturing leader in energy-neutral production
With this investment, the share of self-generated energy increases to more than 55%. This means that over half of the total energy consumption now comes directly from Betech’s own solar fields. As a result, dependence on the electricity grid decreases and CO₂ emissions are further reduced.

Integration with existing sustainable infrastructure
Betech already has a solid foundation in energy efficiency and circularity: fully gas-free production halls with a Resistance Value of 6,7, its own solar fields, full filtration and reuse of oils, advanced heat recovery from machines, and circular cleaning systems without chemicals. The new battery technology integrates seamlessly with this infrastructure.
Betech also builds on earlier innovations that significantly reduce energy consumption, including:
A step forward in energy independence
The 1 MWh battery is a crucial link towards higher energy self-sufficiency. In the future, expansion of this technology could contribute to achieving more than 70% self-generated energy, bringing Betech closer to its goal: fully energy-neutral production.
