In this project, Betech Truss Couplers managed the complete series production of precision coupling cones for a European manufacturer of truss and framework systems. Through 24/7 automated production, SPC-controlled process monitoring and full batch traceability, the project achieved consistent fit accuracy and reliable delivery performance throughout the entire production series.
For an international manufacturer of truss and framework systems for the entertainment industry, Betech Truss Couplers produced coupling cones in aluminium 6082-T6.
The components required a consistent fit diameter according to ISO 286 IT6, with repeatable dimensions across large production series. Interchangeability with existing systems formed part of the incoming inspection criteria.
Production was set up with SPC-controlled process monitoring and a Cpk ≥ 1.67 on critical dimensions. Components were supplied with EN 10204 Type 3.1 certification and heat number traceability at both batch and product level. Following a pilot series including a full FAI report, series production was approved without additional validation rounds.
Result: Cpk 1.81 on the functional fit diameter, 0% rejection during incoming inspection, and complete TÜV NEN EN 1090 compliant documentation delivered according to a fixed production schedule.
